Herrera inched onto the prospect radar last season and opened more eyes this spring.
The 20-year-old lefty signed in 2022 but has just 106.2 innings to his name, part of which can be attributed to a 2025 season spent almost exclusively in the bullpen. This spring, Herrera caught more attention thanks to a low-90s heater that digs in on hitters, especially lefthanders. He backed the pitch with a changeup that flashed plus and a slider designed to tie up righthanders. He did a solid job mixing, matching, changing speeds and utilizing his mix in a way that should keep hitters on their toes.

Glad to see Franyer getting some buzz. Kid has earned him. He's pitched well at every level. Gonna be interesting to see how much run they give him.
